Greg Smith graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor's of Architecture degree and has been a practicing architect since 1990. He moved from Iowa to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994 and has lived in Alameda, California since his daughter was born in 1995.
He worked for Adolph S. Rosekrans, Architect as a Project Architect and Project Manager until 2005. The firm's projects include the award winning San Mateo County Historical Association's restoration of the San Mateo County Courthouse in Redwood City. The San Mateo County Historical Museum now occupies the domed, neoclassical gem. Other projects include the California Historical Society near the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
In 2005, Greg left ASR to join Hart Howerton and there worked on the Carmel Residence as well as large residential developments in Egypt, Morocco, and Texas.
Greg Smith, Architect was founded in 2008. Since then, Greg has worked on historical restoration, new construction, tenant improvements, and commercial properties around the greater Bay Area.
