Column and light detailing is restored and painting completed to historic color scheme.
COURTROOM
The stained glass dome was restored. A poorly installed air conditioning system blocked the light above the glass and the return air vent was in the center of the dome. A new system was installed and ducting routed around the dome to new vents in the coffer surround. The lighting was restored, a new acoustical wall finish applied and painted, new wool carpet imported and new seating specified. The judges bench and jury box were also restored.
STAINED GLASS DOME
Stained glass dome is restored with new seismic bracing above and seismic gap at base of each glass "pie" to releave pressure and prevent future cracking.
ROTUNDA
All the finishes in the Rotunda are new or restored. The guardrail needed to be raised 6" to comply with current code. The new bronze, round tube rail is designed to blend with and compliment the existing railing. The Rotunda and Courtroom are listed in the National Historic Register as significant and care needed to be taken to restore the facilities to the highest standards.
